Inflammation and Reproduction reviews the impact of inflammation on reproductive health and includes the role of genetics and molecular pathways in modulating interactions between these two often conflicting processes. Evidence-based and conventional therapies, as well as alternative therapies (e.g. and bioengineered tissues), are summarized. Discussions also include other factors such as microbiota associations and the effects of stress on biological clocks. Topics include the use of bioinformatics in the study of inflammatory reproductive disorders which might employ machine learning models in predicting cervical cancer and other factors contributing to reproductive health or disease. The following are the certain featured issues covered in this volume:

- The role of microbiota in modulating inflammation

- Protective and regulatory aspects of antioxidants on reproductive function

- Impacts of sleep and stress, as well as lifestyle choices, on inflammatory pathways and reproductive outcomes

- A detailed discussion on inflammatory signaling pathways involved in reproductive cancers

- Computational studies that elucidate the mechanisms linking inflammation and reproductive health

- The current and emerging therapeutic strategies, including treatment options for inflammatory reproductive disorders, advances in stem cell–based therapies, and the application of bioengineered tissues for restoring reproductive function and treating infertility

Tuba SEVIMOGLU holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Yildiz Technical University, Türkiye, an M.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from Florida International University, USA, and a Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering from Marmara University, Türkiye. She is currently an Associate Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Health Sciences in Istanbul, Türkiye. Her research focuses on bioinformatics and computational bioengineering approaches to analyzing big data, gene expression, and biological networks, particularly investigating the genetic mechanisms of autoimmune, neurological, neurodegenerative, and reproductive system diseases at multiple levels (e.g., transcriptome, proteome, metabolome, microbiome), determining protein interaction networks, integrating molecular data to computationally identify potential biomarkers and therapeutic agents, and performing molecular docking and simulation studies, as well as exploring chemical and plant-derived molecules for therapeutic applications.

Zihni Onur ÇALISKANER holds a B.Sc. in Biology and a double major (B.Sc.) in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Istanbul University, Türkiye; an M.Sc. degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Gebze Institute of Technology, Türkiye; and a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Gebze Technical University, Türkiye. He worked as a faculty member and researcher at various institutions. He currently continues his research in the fields of cancer-related signaling pathways, epigenetic modulators, and computer-aided drug discovery at Biruni University, Türkiye. His main research interests include cell biology, stem cells, bioinformatics, cellular signaling pathways, and gene delivery methods, and he has published several journal articles and books in the related fields.
