This book highlights the theory and life prediction methods for multiaxial thermo-mechanical fatigue, combining mechanical strength, mechanical design, solid mechanics, and material strength. It covers a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from theoretical approaches to testing technologies. These include the fundamentals of room temperature multiaxial cyclic constitutive relationships, room temperature multiaxial low-cycle fatigue theory, multiaxial thermo-mechanical fatigue testing techniques, characteristics of multiaxial thermo-mechanical fatigue damage, multiaxial thermo-mechanical cyclic constitutive relations, quantitative characterization methods for multiaxial thermo-mechanical damage, models for cumulative damage in multiaxial thermo-mechanical fatigue, life prediction methods for multiaxial thermo-mechanical fatigue, and notched multiaxial thermo-mechanical fatigue. This book provides an in-depth exploration of the strength theory of multiaxial thermo-mechanical fatigue and reflects the core content of mechanical fatigue strength. It is based on the author's in-depth research in the field, with a comprehensive summary of global research advances in the field to ensure continuity and completeness. This book serves as an excellent reference for graduate students of mechanical engineering, aerospace, aviation, mechanics, and related disciplines, as well as for university faculty and engineering designers in these areas.

De-Guang Shang is currently a professor at the College of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Beijing University of Technology, China. He received his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University, China, in March 1997. Following this, he completed postdoctoral research at the Aviation and Aerospace Postdoctoral Station of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China in March 1999, and at the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Alabama, the USA, in August 2002. Additionally, he served as a visiting scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University, the USA, from 2007 to 2008. His research focuses on multiaxial fatigue, multiaxial thermo-mechanical fatigue, online monitoring of damage and life, as well as damage repair and healing. In 2005, he was honored with the SAE Arch T. Colwell Merit Award.
