Scientist, teacher, and visionary, Homi J. Bhabha (1909-1966) was one of the earliest architects of modern science and technology in India. In 1945 he established the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Bombay (now Mumbai).

Commemorating Homi Bhabha's birth centenary, this collection of essays maps the IT revolution in India from the 1950s to 2010. Beginning with the historical perspective, the essays provide in-depth analyses of the current trends and future prospects and potentials of Telecom and IT industry in India. Contributors include Narayana Murthy, Nandan Nilekani, Sam Pitroda, F.C. Kohli, and many other prominent scientists, subject experts, policymakers, and management gurus and a Foreword by Ratan Tata, the doyen of Indian industry.
