This book discusses the thermo-mechanical and tribological behavior of various materials manufactured using additive manufacturing (AM). It examines a range of materials including metals, polymers, ceramics, and composites and provides insights into how processing parameters can be manipulated to achieve desired thermal, mechanical, and tribological characteristics. The book also addresses challenges related to the reproducibility and reliability of AM materials, offering solutions and strategies to overcome these hurdles in both research and industrial contexts.

- Provides an understanding of the critical thermo-mechanical and tribological properties of additive manufactured (AM) materials

- Explains how thermal stresses, heat treatment, and mechanical loading affect the performance of AM materials

- Offers a focused examination of friction, wear, and lubrication characteristics in AM materials

- Includes practical examples and case studies from industries such as aerospace, automotive, and biomedical

- Discusses material performance and optimization strategies

This book is intended for graduate students and researchers in materials science, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and industrial engineering.
