Swarm Intelligence Algorithms: A Tutorial (Second Edition) is a practical guide to the world of swarm intelligence algorithms that helps readers learn the algorithms but also enables them to implement them independently and apply them to computational problems. The chapters provide detailed explanations of how each algorithm works, present its pseudocode, and include implementations in Matlab and C++. In addition, each algorithm is illustrated with a simple numerical example that demonstrates the successive stages of the calculations step by step. Each chapter has been prepared by world-renowned specialists in the field, combining an accessible introduction to the subject with the knowledge and research expertise of leading experts.

Key Features:

- Includes 36 swarm intelligence algorithms offering a comprehensive overview of the most important methods in this field.

- Offers accessible explanations of how the algorithms work presenteding them in a way that makes its underlying mechanism easy to understand.

- Includes step-by-step numerical examples allowing readers to follow the operation of each algorithm and perform the successive calculations themselves.

- Provides pseudocode for every algorithm, helping readers understand its structure and facilitating subsequent implementation.

- Ready-to-use implementations in MATLAB and C++ helps readers move from concepts to practical applications.

The book will be particularly useful for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students learning about nature-inspired optimization algorithms and artificial intelligence methods. It can serve both as a textbook for learning the fundamentals and as a practical guide for independently implementing algorithms. Engineers and practitioners looking for effective methods for solving challenging optimization problems will also find the book useful.
