Swarm Intelligence Algorithms: Modifications and Applications (Second Edition) enables the reader to learn the basic principles behind swarm intelligence algorithms, and discover how to modify them and use them effectively to solve practical problems. Offering 36 swarm intelligence algorithms with their modifications and practical applications, each chapter focuses on a specific algorithm and contains a concise description, pseudocode illustrating the successive stages of its operation, as well as a discussion of selected modifications and an example of a practical application for solving a specific problem. The chapters have been prepared by renowned and experienced researchers working in the fields of artificial intelligence, optimization, and nature-inspired algorithms, making the book a valuable source of both theoretical and practical knowledge.

Key Features:

- Enables the reader to learn how to adapt basic methods to more challenging problems by offering algorithm modifications

- Offers practical applications that showcase how the algorithms can be used to solve real-world computational problems.

- Provides pseudocode for every algorithm, allowing for a clear presentation of the successive stages of its operation.

- Combines combination of theory and practice from a concise description of the algorithm, through its modifications, to a specific application.

The book enables the reader to learn how to enhance the capabilities of these algorithms through modifications and how to apply them to practical problems.

It is a valuable source of knowledge for scientists and researchers working in artificial intelligence, optimization, nature-inspired computing, and swarm intelligence and can be useful when conducting research and exploring new variants of existing algorithms that students, engineers, and practitioners will find useful.
