Spencer, Philip
Philip is a Tax Partner in BDO's Real Estate and Construction Tax Group. In over 37 years as a qualified Chartered Accountant, he has been involved in a wealth of transactions and advised on the structuring and financing of a huge variety of commercial real estate scenarios. His clients include Real Estate investors based in Europe and the Middle East as well as the UK.

Philip's book, Property Tax Planning, was first published in 1987 and is now up to its 13th edition. He has also produced CDs, videos and audio material as well as journal articles on real estate and finance. Philip is a regular presenter at conferences on these topics.

Outside his professional interests, Philip swims and runs; learns (although never masters) a number of languages; is a dab hand at Scrabble and is a reasonably inept guitarist. Most importantly, he is an ardent supporter of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
