Über Autor(innen)

Marjolijn Bol is an Associate Professor at the Department of History and Art History, Utrecht University. She is the author of several publications on imitation in art, including The Emerald and the Eye (2019) and The Varnish and the Glaze (2023).

E. C. Spary is a Reader at the Faculty of History, University of Cambridge. She is the author of Utopia's Garden (2000), Eating the Enlightenment (2012) and Feeding France (2014), and several edited collections on the history of natural history.
