This book is a compilation of 2,116 quotations in 263 broad subject categories and is useful for political, motivational, and other public speakers along with speech writers, planners, and researchers. Entries are numbered and organized alphabetically by topic, from quotations on ability ('Out of my lean and low ability I'll lend you something' - Shakespeare) to quotations on youth ('I suppose it's difficult for the young to realize that one may be old without being a fool' - William Somerset Maugham).For each entry, the quotation is given first, followed by its author, the work in which it appeared (when appropriate), and the date of origin. In this title, a second section cross-references authors to topic/quotation numbers, while a third section provides a highly detailed keyword and phrase cross-reference to specific quotations by number.

He writes full-time and lives in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Linda Rose Thomsett is a professional researcher and author. Her work on this book included many of the more specialized quotation areas and compilation decisions.
