Über Autor(innen)

Gene Mosca hat über viele Jahre Physikkurse an amerikanischen Universitäten gegeben, darunter Emporia State/University of South Dakota and Annapolis sowie Web-Kurse entwickelt. Als Koautor für die dritte und vierte englische Ausgabe auch Mitgestaltung der Studentenmaterialien.

Paul A. Tipler promovierte über die Struktur von Atomkernen an der University of Illinois, erste Lehrerfahrungen an der Wesleyan University of Connecticut, anschließend Physikprofessor an der Oakland University mit maßgeblicher Beteiligung an der Entwicklung des Lehrplans für das Physikstudium. Der Autor - inzwischen Emeritus - lebt in Berkeley/California.
