Über Autor(innen)

Prof. Ashish Verma is the Convenor of the IISc Sustainable Transportation Lab (IST Lab) for over 15 years. Currently a Professor of Transportation Systems Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, he earned his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay. Prof. Verma has held international academic positions, including Visiting Professor at ITMO University, Russia (2016), and Visiting Fellow at Queensland University of Technology, Australia (2019). Before joining IISc, he worked at IIT Guwahati and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

Prof. Arkopal K. Goswami is a distinguished faculty member at the Ranbir and Chitra Gupta School of Infrastructure Design and Management, IIT Kharagpur. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2008 and has since accumulated over 15 years of expertise in urban mobility. His research centers on sustainable urban transport infrastructure, particularly within organic urban forms and mixed traffic environments. Dr. Goswami’s   collaborative   work with international experts from Japan, Germany, the UK, Colombia, and the USA has significantly influenced the field.

Prof. Rahul Tiwari , a faculty member at MANIT Bhopal's Department of Architecture and Planning, is a distinguished expert in Urban Transport Planning. He holds a B.Arch. from MANIT Bhopal, an M. Tech in Transportation from IIT Madras, and a Ph.D. from SPA Bhopal. Dr. Tiwari, a certified LUTP trainer by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, authored India's inaugural "Ease of Moving Index-2018" and other notable publications on transport equity and road safety. An award-winning researcher, he has presented at prominent conferences worldwide and actively contributes to policy development for Madhya Pradesh. His work spans global collaborations, and he is a passionate advocate for road safety.
