CHRISTOPH MEINEL is CEO and Scientific Director of the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Engineering gGmbH (HPI) at the University of Potsdam. Christoph Meinel is full professor (C4) for computer science at HPI and the University of Potsdam; he holds the chair of Internet Technologies and Systems. He teaches courses on IT Systems Engineering in the HPI Bachelor and Master Degree programs and in the MOOC platform developed by his team: openHPI. He supervises numerous PhD projects and is a teacher at the HPI School of Design Thinking. Founder of the company TERRATOOLS and CYPARADE which specialize in 3D animation, simulation, cross-media projects and computer games. Since 1994 he is Professor of Computer Animation at the Film University Babelsberg. Since four years the Vice President for Research, Development and International Relations. Since 2004 Visiting Professor at the Communication University of China CUC in Beijing and there since 2014 Honorary Director of the Design Thinking Innovation Center. Since November 2014 honorary board member of the German Society for Quality DGQ e.V., board member of TEDx Berlin and, since 2015 co-founder of WeQ-Foundation and its honorary chairman. TIMM KROHN Dr. Timm Krohn has spent time in Africa, Canada and at a boarding school in England, but is originally from Hamburg. He majored in law and studied in Hamburg; Berkeley, USA; Lausanne, Switzerland; Bonn and Berlin. Timm did his PhD in Company Law with Prof. Dr. Karsten Schmidt. He was a research fellow at the chair for Business Law at Bonn University, a private tutor, coach and lecturer for law in Bonn, Cologne and Düsseldorf and a legal advisor for KPMG. Timm also worked as a trainee and in HR for the L-Bank in Karlsruhe and Stuttgart and as a lawyer specialized in business law in Hamburg. He is now the COO of the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) and the CEO of the HPI Academy. He enjoys being a member of the Steering Committee of the HPI-Stanford Design Thinking Research Program and a part-time teacher at the School of Design Thinking.
