Fehmer, Vincent
Vincent Fehmer, MDT, received his dental technical education and degree in Stuttgart, Germany, before completing fellowships in Great Britain and the United States in Oral Design–certified dental technical laboratories. He received his MDT degree and became the chief dental technician at the Clinic for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2015, he has been a dental technician at the Clinic for Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials in Geneva, Switzerland. He also runs his own laboratory in Lausanne. Mr Fehmer is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), and a member of the Oral Design Group, the European Association of Dental Technology (EADT) and the German Society for Aesthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ). He is a sought-after national and international speaker and has received many honors for his work, including the Kenneth Rudd Award from the American Prosthodontic Society. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals within the field of fixed prosthodontics and digital dental technology, contributed to many books, and coauthored the book Fixed Restorations: A Clinical Guide to the Selection of Materials and Fabrication Technology with Irena Sailer and Bjarni Pjetursson. He is editor-in-chief of The International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry and the QDT Yearbook, which he has published since 2023.
Donos, Nikolaos
Professor Nikos Donos is Chair of Periodontology & Implant Dentistry and Director of the Centre for Oral Clinical Research and the Centre of Oral Immunobiology & Regenerative Medicine at the Institute of Dentistry, Barts & The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). He also serves as Director of the ITI Scholarship Centre and the Osteology Research Scholarship Centre at QMUL. Professor Donos has received numerous international scientific awards and holds honorary and adjunct professorships at leading universities in Hong Kong, Australia, and the United Kingdom. He is a former President of the British Society of Periodontology & Implant Dentistry, serves on the Board of the Osteology Foundation, and has contributed to numerous international consensus conferences of the ITI, the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO), and the Osteology Foundation. Professor Donos serves on the editorial boards of several international peer-reviewed journals and has authored more than 240 scientific publications in the fields of periodontology and implant dentistry.
Wismeijer, Daniel
Daniel Wismeijer graduated from the University of Nijmegen Dental School (1984) and received his PhD in 1996. Until 2006 he worked at the Amphia Teaching Hospital in Breda in the Oral Surgery and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics Department. In 1985 he started a general dental practice, which has been a referral practice for oral implantology since 1990. He was president of the Dutch Prosthodontic Association and the Dutch Association for Gnathology. He has been an ITI Fellow since 1993, a member of the ITI Board of Directors since 2013 and Chair of the ITI Education Committee since 2015. In 2006 he became Professor of Oral Implantology and Prosthetic Dentistry at ACTA Amsterdam where he was Chair and Head of the Department of Oral Implantology and Prosthetic Dentistry until 2020.
Barter, Stephen
Qualified in dentistry from Guy’s Hospital in 1985 and as a Specialist in Oral Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England, in 2000. Dr Barter has 37 years’ experience in oral surgery with 30 years involvement in clinical and academic implant dentistry in both private hospital practice and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a private clinic. Dr Barter has previously assisted in the running of the MClinDent in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute London, for over ten years, and the DClinDent Programme at Queen Mary’s University, London for over five years. He is a Fellow of the ITI, a past Chairman of the UK and Ireland Section and has served on ITI international committees and consensus conferences. Dr Barter has published in refereed scientific journals and the dental press and has written several book chapters, is the co-author of ITI Treatment Guide 9 – Implant Therapy in the Geriatric Patient (Quintessence Publishing) and has been an editor of the ITI Treatment Guide series since TG 11. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally.
Kökat, Ali Murat
Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Kökat graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 1998 and completed his PhD in Prosthetic Dentistry in 2004. After serving as a lecturer at Yeditepe University, he was an ITI Scholar at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, Germany, in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He was appointed Associate Professor in 2012 and Professor of Prosthodontics in 2018. Professor Kökat is currently Coordinator of the PhD Program in Prosthetic Dentistry at Istanbul Aydin University and maintains a private practice in Istanbul. His main fields of interest are digital dentistry, porcelain laminate veneers, and implant dentistry. He has published numerous scientific articles, translated eight dental textbooks into Turkish, contributed chapters to implant dentistry textbooks, and lectures internationally. Professor Kökat has been an ITI Fellow since 2011 and serves on the ITI Board of Mentors.
Lanis, Alejandro
Dr. Lanis graduated from the University of Valparaiso, Chile in 2008 and completed a three-year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Implantology at the University of Chile in Santiago. Additionally, he has an advanced diploma in Marketing and Health Administration from University of Chile School of Business and an advanced certification in Medical Education from Catholic University of Chile School of Medicine. In 2013, he moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan to participate as an Implant Scholar in the Periodontics and Oral Medicine Department at University of Michigan School of Dentistry. During his career he has been specially dedicated to the practice of advanced prosthodontics, oral implantology and digital dentistry. Dr. Lanis is a recognized international lecturer in digital dentistry, oral implantology, esthetics and prosthodontics. He is fellow of the International Team for Implantology where he serves in the Global Education Committee and member of the European Association for Osseointegration, the International College of Prosthodontics and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has published several scientific articles in specialized journals and books and has collaborated as a scientific advisor with different dental implant companies worldwide.
