He is a Member of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Group of the Chinese Medical Association Gastroenterology Branch, Committee Member of Jiangsu Province Doctor Association's Surgical Branch, and Standing Committee Member of the Jiangsu Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Inflammatory Bowel Disease Multidisciplinary Collaboration Committee. He is a Research Fellow at the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center and Colorectal Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States. Section editor of the Mesentery and Peritoneum journal and editorial board member of the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition journal. Has led three National Natural Science Foundation projects and published over 70 papers in journals
