Chapter 1 Staying for Love and Family and Sex The happiest women in the world are not bogged down with owning Mercedes Benz's or living across from the Jones's while shopping at Nieman Marcus. Most are not really interested in hanging out at clubs looking for idle chatter or different company either. And they don't necessarily want to cheat on their husbands but sometimes feel compelled to step out occasionally. Wives of Upstate and Central New York know how to find happiness in their lives…they love to make love and have love made to them. Moreover, they want to feel a sense of freedom and to be appreciated. They want to have fun in their lives. They like sexual control, influencing their husbands with profound sexuality. They know how to love, whom to love, when to love and where to love. Unlike in third world Tao, India where sex is prolific in the second most populous country in the world, the peripheral sexual satisfaction and ecstasy of erotic satisfaction of white wives of New York is a fairly recent development. In an area sadly rife with some people using extreme life threatening drugs to escape, Upstate and Central New York wives have found the answer right here at home. This is a time when many states are approving and celebrating gay marriages, federal courts are upholding one's right to participate in many forms of adult human sexuality, bi-sexuality, homosexuality and carnal bedroom entertainment. In White Wives of New York and all across the nation women are taking note, with renewed opportunity for engagement. They outwardly uphold their marriage vows while openly yet privately pursue erotic sexuality for personal satisfaction. Earlier, similar to many middle class folks, after high school the fertile job market was the place to be, especially while dating your favorite beau or gal around the area who also had a job and stayed around town and not flying off to a college campus. In 1994 NAFTA and other international trade agreements, manufacturing took a turn for the worst with major companies leaving Central and Southern Upstate New York. Of course, state tax laws had a lot to do with the exodus. New York is known for taxing and chasing good job producing businesses as well as residents out of the state. Moreover, a political shift of many companies quickly favored the shareholders and not loyal workers. They found cheaper work, and in their view, better opportunities to satisfy corporate boards. Many times major companies leaving Upstate New York did so out of disagreements with the state. But in the final analysis it was mostly corporate greed whenever the companies could save a few bucks. Before then, like many northeastern communities everyone here had a decent job, most families for many generations. There are many descendants from the glory days of IBM and E-J shoes and Rubbermaid and Mack Trucks and Smith Corona and others, all in Upstate and Central New York. Some went on to college and became professionals. But the university track was not for everyone, especially when the job market was fervent and lucrative. Binghamton University is still right in town. Cornell has always attracted students worldwide. Then from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse to Utica, Cortland, Ithaca, Elmira, Binghamton and Albany the northeastern rust belt towns from Upstate to the Southern Tier took another major hit in 2007. In Binghamton there is a storied history of manufacturing innovation. There is even a major long time Hollywood connection through the great writer and producer of "The Twilight Zone," Rod Serling. The area is also known for the iconic computer giant IBM and Johnson Shoes. But the Southern Tier is representative of what happened in Upstate New York to a bustling economic engine and how the culture shifted. It was not unlike communities in other parts of New York State and similar rust belt states and communities throughout the country. For example, traditionally many women, like most during the seventies and eighties expected to get married with a husband who worked while they took care of the children. All that changed during the late nineties and for New York State in particular. September 11, 2001 had a devastating effect economically, emotionally and politically. Later became the crippling reality during the great recession of 2007 and 2008 which along with New York shocked the nation with long term depression like effects. This time wives in Upstate and Central New York had no choice but to find work. On the political scene right wingers saw women working as taking jobs from men and potentially weakening their positions as the heads of households. But reality had set in and many women interviewed went back to school learning how to input medical billing or customer service requiring significant Internet skills. Others took jobs at places like Wal-Mart and Target to help ends meet for their middle to lower income families. Some were luckier having had some prior education perhaps earning a graduate degree, enabling them to go into teaching or some form of nursing and people care which is fairly high paying in the area. But for the vast majority of these now married mothers they had to find a job, at least part time, during a very difficult time for everyone. Throughout the region were many other notable major manufacturing firms. For example, Buffalo has the Buffalo Bills but not much else after losing nearly half its population and the state taxing it and other upstate cities to the poor house. Binghamton is still known as the 'Carousel Capital of the World' with six carousels still on the ground. Cortland now has the New York Jets practice facility at SUNY Cortland. And of course, Ithaca has Ivy League Cornell University and Ithaca College. So after 2008 there was some push back for housewives to find work. Further north in Cortland, Smith Corona, Mack Trucks and Rubbermaid among many other major companies used to call Central New York home. Rochester saw the demise or downsizing of Kodak and Xerox plus other regional headquarters lost. Syracuse lost many businesses on a large scale. All industries in Upstate New York were hard hit. There was a new perspective outside the home for the wives and came a need for added freedoms in their lives. They got a chance to meet with other women and sometimes men sparking an interest and curiosity in what's on the other side. They now wanted to pursue different paths while working yet still looking after the family. In White Wives of New York they did not necessarily dislike or even blame the husbands for their circumstances. They instead saw this as an opportunity to move the relationship in a different direction with altering emphasis on personal needs and social lifestyles. With additional responsibilities at work many steadily became more decisive and demonstrative in needs and wants taking more of a leadership role both at work and home. For many this inevitability led to long held sexual curiosities as well as seeking out physical and emotional stress release. Not all working wives just go to the gym. Traditionally, the husband was the front man determining the role of sex in their lives but now the good free wives wanted decision making on their own. Sometimes the husband was put on the back burner, his wants, needs and traditions less important. But the white wife insisted that the immediate needs of her sexuality be met as well as his paying most of the bills. The Southern Tier is representative of what happened to much of the state and how the culture shifted. This was not unlike other communities in many parts of similar northeastern communities as well as across the country. But Upstate and Central New York are working communities during the spring, summer, fall, and of course, winter. The Beach Boys' famous number one hit, "California Girls" has more relevance today in the northeast than it did 50 years ago when released. 'The Northern Girls Keep Their Boyfriends Warm at Night,' has a direct connection to the needs and wants of not just the boyfriends and husbands during cold winter nights. It also held relevance to the married women and girlfriends finding their own comfort and satisfaction in the workplace, at home and in new forms of power sex. Ultimately, a comforting stay at home lifestyle became more important than an illustrious working career. Even for the upper middle class woman, love of family and a sexually satisfying lifestyle was more attractive. The option was working late and hiring and firing someone at the office for a little more pay and a new title. And though fundamentally, Central New York communities are really no different than any others in the country. Since the Great Recession most areas have suffered but Upstate New York women have persevered in spite of being hit more severely than other regions. Women of Upstate and Central New York learned to find happiness in their lives in spite of economics…they like to fuck. Many will not stray from their husbands without his knowledge but will eagerly pursue an outside sexual relationship with his involvement or tacit approval. Of course, there are those who will cheat because it is fun. They find the lover they want and need, in spite of their husbands, while carefully keeping private and not jeopardizing the family unit or marriage. This is what is meant when you read or hear the word, discretion, being discreet. Conversely, many times perhaps more than 50 percent, the husband is the party who suggests outside sex first. Some women have stated that they would be cheating only if they did it on their own. In fact, when I expressed a desire to see one man's wife by myself, he responded that, "she would feel as if she was cheating," even though he knew...
