In addition to the analysis of the polymers the analysis of non-polymer components of the polymer, whether adventicious (water, solvents, monomers, catalyst residues, etc.) or deliberately added (processing additives, antioxidants, plasticisers, etc.) is covered at the end of the chapter or section.
