Dr. Jerry G. Blaivas is Clinical Professor of Urology atWeill Medical College of Cornell University, Chief of Urogynecologyat Lenox Hill Hospital and Medical Director of UroCenter of NewYork, the first truly multidisciplinary Urology-Gynecology Centerin the Northeast and one of the few such centers worldwide.
He is a recognized world expert in the field of female urology,prostate problems in men, reconstructive surgery, male and femalevoiding dysfunction, incontinence, neurogenic bladder andurodynamics and has pioneered many of the current diagnostic andsurgical procedures to correct stress incontinence, urinaryfistulas, urethral diverticulum, overactive bladder and neurogenicbladder. Dr. Blaivas has been listed in Best Doctors in America andBest Doctors in New York for over a decade and has won numerousawards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Societyfor Urodynamics and Female Urology.
Finally, Dr. Blaivas is editor-in-chief of Neurourology andUrodynamics. He is on the editorial board of Contemporary Urologyand on the editorial staff and reviewer for a number of otherjournals. He is the primary author of over 300 peer reviewscientific articles, abstracts and book chapters and has edited 6books.
