What is the human being beyond a single lifetime? And which laws guide human development beyond birth and death? This book explores the subject of reincarnation from a spiritual and philosophical perspective. It presents the human being not merely as a physical entity, but as a multi-layered existence of body, soul, and spirit, embedded within a comprehensive cosmic process of development. The reader is gently guided through the great epochs of Earth's evolution-from early etheric incarnations through Lemuria and Atlantis to the present post-Atlantean age. Along this journey, it becomes evident how consciousness, soul, and the individual sense of self have unfolded over immense spans of time, and why rebirth is an essential element of this evolutionary process. Rather than engaging in speculation about past lives, the book focuses on illuminating the spiritual laws that underlie every incarnation: the formation of the soul's essential aspects, the path through the spiritual realms after death, the significance of Kamaloka, soul families, and the conscious preparation for a new birth. This work is intended for readers who wish to explore questions of human existence, spiritual evolution, and the deeper meaning of life and destiny. It deliberately avoids simplified explanations, offering instead a clear, structured, and coherent view of an encompassing spiritual worldview. Reincarnation is presented as a contribution to a deeper understanding of the human being-not as a belief system, but as an invitation to inner insight. Recommended for readers aged 21 and over. This book addresses profound spiritual and philosophical themes. www.spiritual-works.com

When beings of light first descended to the planet Earth, their earliest incarnations during the Polar and Hyperborean ages occurred exclusively in subtle, etheric forms. At that time, Earth’s evolutionary stage had not yet reached the density necessary to sustain corporeal beings of flesh and blood.

Until the middle of the third age, the Lemurian epoch, these incarnations unfolded in a manner entirely distinct from our present human experience. Descending from the spiritual world, these beings were not yet anchored in solid physical bodies. Instead, they existed on Earth solely in subtle, etheric form. For these etheric beings, the concepts of birth and death as we understand them today did not yet exist—a state that persisted for roughly four billion years.

Etheric incarnations began shortly after the onset of Earth’s first Polar epoch. Initially, only a few beings of light entered these etheric embodiments. It was not until the subsequent Hyperborean age, which lasted approximately 300 million years, that the number of beings incarnating etherically on Earth from the astral realm began to increase gradually.

From the perspective of modern intellect, these ancient etheric incarnations appear profoundly unfamiliar and are therefore difficult to comprehend. During this era, the being of light existed within an entirely etheric environment—both externally and within the Earth itself—and lived incarnations that could endure for thousands of years or even longer.

With extensive guidance from beings of higher hierarchies, the beings of light gradually adapted—parallel to Earth’s evolution—to the material conditions of this world. Over millions of years, they subtly formed the bodily organs and the nervous system of the future human being.

It was only in the third Earth age, during the middle of the Lemurian epoch—around 150 million years ago—that the first primitive physical races emerged. These early forms allowed beings of light to inhabit solid bodies for the first time in human evolutionary history. However, these creatures bore little resemblance to what we recognize today as human beings. If one were to describe this life form, it would exist somewhere between the elements of water and air.

At the beginning of this development, these beings primarily inhabited aquatic environments. Only many millions of years later, in the final third of the Lemurian epoch, did they gradually transition into land-based existence.

During this ancient period, the vast continental region of Lemuria stretched from parts of what is now Africa, across Asia, to Australia. The Earth had not yet fully solidified; its surface possessed a wood-like softness, and even minerals were far less dense than they are today.

These early beings were single-sexed and capable of self-fertilization.

We are speaking of approximately 80 million years of developmental time in Lemuria, during which the being of light experienced its first bodily incarnations on Earth—a duration that challenges our modern capacity for comprehension, as we are unaccustomed to conceiving such vast temporal dimensions.

The transition from the Lemurian age to the subsequent Atlantean epoch was marked by cataclysmic volcanic eruptions and dramatic shifts in the Earth’s crust.

The Atlantean age lasted roughly 60 million years and concluded after the great Ice Age, around 10,000 BCE.

By the midpoint of the Atlantean period—approximately 30 million years ago—the human physical form had evolved to the point where it could be recognized as distinctly human for the first time.

Prior to this juncture, the incarnations of beings of light into earthly bodies bore no resemblance to the rebirths that occurred after the midpoint of the Atlantean age.

It was only in the second half of Atlantis that the true wave of incarnations began—those of the beings of light destined to evolve through the human stage on Earth. Before this time, incarnations were primarily undertaken by beings who facilitated the transition from etheric to solid, physical human forms.

From the midpoint of the Atlantean age onward, the regular beings of light—those intended to pass through the human stage on Earth—were able to incarnate into bodily forms that arrived from other planets and corresponded to their energetic vibrational fields. Thus, humanity was born.

Many of the human beings currently living on Earth first incarnated during the second half of Atlantis.

The first incarnations into fleshly bodies presented a profound challenge for these beings. Earthly conditions, with their dense material vibrational frequencies, were entirely unfamiliar to them in this form, given their prior spiritual development.

Although the external complexities of earthly life at that time were not as pronounced as those we face today, these beings were nevertheless rigorously tested in their incarnations. They had to adapt to embodied existence and learn to process external impressions inwardly, on soulful and spiritual levels. This was particularly difficult, as the spiritual realm operates almost inversely to the earthly one.

In the spiritual world, a subtle being lives fundamentally from within outward, shaped by inner reality. In contrast, the earthly human is molded by external circumstances and impressions, drawing them inward. One might also say: human senses perceive external conditions and internalize them, whereas the spiritual senses of a subtle being perceive inner reality and project it outward.

The entry of soul beings into physical human bodies during the Atlantean age unfolded in a fundamentally different manner than it does in the present post-Atlantean epoch.

At that time, bodily incarnations were not marked by the degree of conscious awareness that modern humanity experiences today. To understand this, it is essential to recognize that the etheric body of the Atlantean human being had not yet fully descended into the physical body.

The etheric head still extended beyond the physical skull. It was not yet completely enclosed within the body, and through this outward extension, a part of the human being remained actively connected to the cosmic sphere throughout the entire earthly incarnation.

This condition manifested in the clairvoyant abilities of the Atlantean people. During the day, they communicated not only with their fellow human beings but also with the divine world, which they could clearly perceive as subtle beings through their still-protruding etheric head. Moreover, the Atlanteans had not yet developed a mature intellect; their actions and decisions arose exclusively from clairvoyant instinct.

Only in the final third of the Atlantean age, around ten million years ago, did Atlantis evolve into a natural-scientific high culture. However, the highly complex and technologically oriented developments of modern times were unknown to them. Their achievements were fundamentally rooted in natural laws that are no longer known to us in this form today.

As an energy source for the propulsion of their flying craft, for example, they made use of the force contained within a single plant seed. This Atlantean high culture represented a world entirely different from our own. If one were to view the Earth of that time from a bird’s-eye perspective, one would be deeply impressed by the lush and vibrant abundance of nature and would describe the harmonious union between humanity and nature as paradisiacal.

Throughout the entire Atlantean age, the human being continued to evolve both inwardly and outwardly. In this respect, evolution knows no standstill. Around five million years ago, humanity had developed to such an extent that the etheric body, which had previously extended beyond the head, became firmly anchored within the physical body.

From this point onward, the etheric body was fully enclosed within the human being during earthly incarnations. This development enabled a further refinement of brain activity.

At the same time, the Atlantean human gradually lost clairvoyant consciousness. This profound transformation did not occur abruptly but unfolded slowly over many generations.

With the development of expanded thinking, the Atlantean human was also confronted with destructive forces. These forces evolved in such a way that—together with the great flood—they ultimately led to the downfall of this race.

At the beginning of the Atlantean age, Earth experienced significantly warmer climatic conditions than those of today. Around thirty million years ago, when the human being first appeared as a two-gendered entity, the gradual glaciation of the South Pole began. Approximately three million years later, the North Pole also entered a phase of glaciation.

At the height of the great Ice Age, sea levels were approximately 130 meters lower than they are today. The continental region of Atlantis was then situated between what are now Europe and Africa on one side and the Americas on the other.

The last glacial period of Earth ended around 14,000 years ago. As the ice masses melted, sea levels rose relatively rapidly worldwide, and the continent of Atlantis gradually sank into the Atlantic Ocean.

During the transition from the Atlantean age to the present post-Atlantean epoch—which coincided with the end of the last Ice Age—a massive extraterrestrial impact and the subsequent floods...
