Kelly-Holmes, Helen
Helen Kelly-Holmes is Professor of Applied Languages at Ollscoil Luimnigh/University of Limerick. Helen’s work focuses on the interrelationship between media, markets, technologies and languages and the management of these relationships. She is particularly interested in the economic aspects of multilingualism in relation to minority languages and the global political economy of English, and she has published widely on these topics.  Recent books include: Language, Global Mobilities, Blue-Collar Workers and Blue-collar Workplaces (Edited with K. Gonçalves, Routledge, 2020); Sociolinguistics from the Periphery: Small Languages in New Circumstances (with S. Pietikainen, A. Jaffe & N. Coupland - Cambridge University Press, 2016).

Busch, Brigitta
Brigitta Busch is an applied linguist. She works and teaches at Vienna University and is also affiliated to Stellenbosch University (South Africa). In 2009 she was granted a Berta-Karlik research professorship for excellent female scientists by the University of Vienna. She has also been working for many years as an expert for the Council of Europe’s Confidence-Building Measures Programme and was a member of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities. Her main interests focus on: sociolinguistics, multilingualism, biographic approaches in linguistics (http://www.heteroglossia.net)

Brigitta Busch works as a senior research fellow at the Institute for Applied Linguistics at Vienna University, Austria. She studied Slavistics and  Communication at Klagenfurt University. She also worked from 1992–2002 as an expert for the Council of Europe's Confidence Building Measures Programme in  South-Eastern Europe. Her main research interests cover sociolinguistics  (multilingualism in media and education), discourse analysis and intercultural communication.

Helen Kelly-Holmes is a Research Scholar in the Department of Languages and Cultural Studies, University of Limerick, Ireland. Her main research interests include intercultural aspects of market and media discourses.
