Dr. Richard Busulwa (PhD, MBA, CA) is a Senior Lecturer in the Business School at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. His hospitality and tourism management research and teaching focus on digital disruption, digital transformation, and the future of managerial work. He has published research in leading academic journals, including the International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology, and Journal of Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism Education.

Richard previously worked in a range of general management, financial management, sales management, and frontline sales/service roles, including with the Hilton World Wide and with smaller F&B operators. He is the lead author of the widely adopted textbook Hospitality Management and Digital Transformation.
