Michael Crowe, DM, FRCPsych is a consultant psychiatrist at theSouth London and Maudsley NHS Trust, where he heads a unit forpatients with repeated self-harm, as well as running specializedclinics for couple relationship and sexual therapy and theassociated MSc/Diploma training courses. He is a founder member ofthe Institute of Family Therapy; he is also a founder member andpast Chairman of the British Association for Sexual andRelationship Therapy and is a member of the Governing Board of theUK Council for Psychotherapy.
Jane Ridley, BA, PQSW trained originally in Social Work at theLondon School of Economics and at the University of Newcastle andas a mature student at the Institute of Psychiatry. She began workwith Michael Crowe in 1983 at the Marital and Sexual TherapyClinics and was instrumental in developing the Course inRelationship and Sexual Therapy which now offers both an MSc andDiploma. She has developed her work within Supervision and runstraining courses for advanced therapists. She has also been Chairof the Family, Marital and Sexual Section of UKCP and a member ofthe Governing Board of the UKCP.
