Leor Halevi (PhD, History and Middle Eastern Studies, Harvard) is Associate Professor of History at Vanderbilt University. He is the author of Muhammad’s Grave (Columbia, 2007) and the coeditor (with Francesca Trivellato) of Religion and Trade: Cross-Cultural Exchanges in World History, 1000-1900 (Oxford, 2014).Leor Halevi is associate professor of history and law at Vanderbilt University. He is the author of Muhammad’s Grave: Death Rites and the Making of Islamic Society (Columbia, 2007).
