This is an introductory textbook on manufacturing processes, written for the first year engineering students.

Rajeev Kumar, M.Tech (IIT Kanpur), is Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Lucknow, India. He has nearly two decades of teaching experience and has taught courses in mechanics, machine design, workshop technology, metrology and measurement, and non-destructive testing. He has also published/presented several research papers in national and international journals/conferences.
