With his contribution to the IEC standardization he has influences the technology of instrument transformers worldwide.Dr.-Ing. Joachim Schmid was head of development for conventional instrument transformer in oil-paper technology. Additionally he has pushed the technologies of low-power current transformer, optical current transformer and RC-dividers.
