Dr. Shray Pathak is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, Rupnagar, Punjab, India. Dr. Pathak has received the Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, India in June 2012 and completed his Master’s and Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India in June 2014 and February 2019 respectively. His research interests include hydrology, remote sensing, GIS, urban sustainability and climate change. Earlier, he was employed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Netaji Subhas University of Technology, New Delhi from Dec 2021 to Sept 2023.  He has a post-doctoral experience of 2.5 years in School of Geographic Sciences, East China Normal University (ECNU), Shanghai, China (June 2019 to Dec 2021) and worked on the risk assessment analysis of urban flooding in coastal and non-coastal regions under extreme climate scenarios. Till date he has amassed over 50 publications, spanning peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and book chapters. He is currently managing two special issues in ASCE and IWA journals. Additionally, he has published a two-volume book with Springer Nature (ISBNs 978-3-031-65682-8 & 978-3-031-65702-3) and is presently serving as lead editor for books with Springer and Elsevier. He was awarded the 2022 Best Practice Oriented Paper by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for his publication in the ASCE Journal of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste.

Dr Manish Pandey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His research interests span experimental hydraulics, sediment transport, river training works, hydraulic structures, and open-channel flow dynamics. Dr Pandey has authored more than 60 publications, including peer-reviewed journal papers, book chapters, and conference proceedings. In recognition of his significant contributions to the field, he received the Best Reviewer Award from the Irrigation and Drainage Journal of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in 2023, as well as the Prof. R. J. Garde Young Researcher Award in the year 2024. Dr Pandey is an Associate Editor for the ISH Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, Environmental Development and Sustainability, and the Journal of Applied Science and Engineering. He is also a member of the editorial team for the Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research (IAHR). Dr Pandey has collaborated with prominent universities and research institutions, including the University of Glasgow, the University of Bradford, Southeast University in China, and National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) in Taiwan.
