Ville Pulkki is a Professor of Acoustics in the Acoustics Lab, Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Aalto University. He was awarded the AES Silver Medal in 2017 for exceptional contributions in spatial audio techniques. He’s a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society.

Matti Karjalainen†, was Head of the Laboratory of Acoustics and Audio Signal Processing at Helsinki University of Technology. He received the AES Silver Medal in 2006 and IEEE Fellowship in 2009.
