Strong academicbackground, having achieved the Gold Medal for outstandingperformance as well as 4 scholarships and 5 faculty prizes at theUniversity of Birmingham Medical School. Current researchactivities include diagnostic aspects of melanoma in primary care,lentigo maligna and skeletal metastases of melanoma.
Jerry Marsden FRCP - Consultant in Dermatology& Head of the Skin Oncology Service at University HospitalBirmingham. Recognised national expert in skin oncology anddermatologic surgery. Full-time skin oncologist with over 50 peerreviewed publications. Co-author of the British Association ofDermatologists guidelines on cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Ongoinginvestigator in several melanoma trials. Secretary of the MelanomaStudy Group.
