This book is designed to assist industrial engineers and production managers in developing procedural and methodological engineering tools to meet industrial standards and mitigate engineering and production challenges. It offers practitioners expert guidance on how to implement adequate statistical process control (SPC), which takes account of the capability to ensure a stable process and then regulate if variations take place due to variables other than a random variation. Powerful engineering models of new product introduction (NPI), continuous improvement (CI), and the eight disciplines (8D) model of problem solving techniques are explained. Yohannes Yebabe Tesfay is a senior engineering scientist and the innovator of many equations, models, and applied theories, including the hyper-hybrid coordination, and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, International Automotive Task Force (IATF), and ISO 9000 professional. He is experienced with lean manufacturing engineering practices via process and design development, job-shadowing, and modeling, and is an expert in process flow, plant layout of vertically integrated manufacturing operations, and leading projects utilizing his strong analytical background with emphasis placed on the design of new product development. In his most recent role as senior quality and new product development engineer with Soraa Inc. (USA), he is accountable for the supervision of research, junior industrial, process, and manufacturing engineers developing the design and implementation of improvements to eliminate operational wastes within the process, and identifying potential gaps associated with quality control via applying SPC, engineering DoE, APQP, FMEA, MSA and PPAP standard engineering methodologies of ISO, IATF and AS.?
