The Forbidden Book of Knowledge is a modern interpretation of Tantra, Alchemy and the I Ching. It is called the forbidden book of knowledge because the forbidder of this knowledge is only one's self. 1. THE BLACK HOLE

The Snake and The Golden Mermaid

The BLACK HOLE has two hexagrams from the I Ching. The first being the Creative, then we have the Receptive. In Alchemy, the Black Hole is the hermetically sealed vessel which is the creative receptacle. The relationship between the Creative and the Receptive is what is called the Great Work and is accomplished through the feminine energy force. The creative aspect is symbolized by Iris, the Feminine Goddess of the serpent fire or sexual energies disguised in a male form. The male form is the image of Hermes, Krishna, Mercury, or Odin, as the quicksilver agent of nature. Quicksilver is a secret agent of the feminine energy that is disguised in a male form so that it is unobserved on the surface level until it reaches maturity. This is especially necessary when it incarnates in a patriarchal society, because this image is a guardian of the feminine energy. He can be recognized by the mark of mind.

The first implication of the quicksilver is the serpent fire transferred through the sexual energy. Then there is the appearance of the sorceress who is the receptor vessel for the repeated experience of the extreme pressure of the growing serpent force working within. She is the representation of the goddess Kali or the Earth Mother. The purpose of this meeting of the Creative and the Receptive is to bring about the birth of transformation energy in the physical. This birth that takes place is not a birth of form, but the birth of energy that excites the natural changes within the Earth. Tantra illustrates this union with the many statues and pictures of Krishna and Kali in sexual intercourse. In Alchemy the union is called the Chemical Marriage. These two can be found at the top of Clitoris Mountain looking South to the Red Sea.

The meaning of the Creative is Everything is Everything. The meaning of the Receptive is Nothing isn't Everything. Everything is Everything is also Everybody is Everybody.

To understand this statement, we need the assistance of the Receptive where Nothing isn't Everything, which is also Nobody isn't Everybody. This means nobody is left out, whereas Everybody means Everything, all bodies, not just human bodies, but plant bodies, animal bodies, river bodies, etc. All bodies are atomic just as Everything is one body infinitely. Everything is very seldom spoken of as Everything. Yet if one speaks of Everything and gets a very minute part of its attention, they experience a tremendous energy. Anyone experiencing this tremendous energy sees that All Things are a part of Everything and that everything else is nothing, because there is no unknown, there is only the unexperienced by a limited imagination towards Everything. Everything is not beyond the imagination, it is within the imagination. It is not enough to be creative, one needs to be receptive to the creativity of a strong imagination.

The Tarot Card of the Black Hole is assisted by the twenty-one remaining Cards of the Major Arcana. The Receptive aspect is Kali, who like the Black Hole is so receptive that all she encounters is transformed. She is the Great Devourer and is the one who brings death to the ego. She is the sorceress who, unlike the sorcerer, does not accept apprentices. Her energy is integrated into twenty-two bodies. These depict twenty-two aspects of her nature. Thus, she is a twenty-two fold Goddess.

The Black Hole Card has two I Ching hexagrams, the hexagram of the Creative and the hexagram of the Receptive. The Creative has six unbroken lines, meaning that the six levels, the physical, the bottom line; the emotional, second line; the mental, third line; the magnetic, fourth line; the dream, fifth line; and the inner vision, sixth line, are all integrated. The Creative represents the totally integrated being. The Receptive is all open lines on each level and keeps its integration open on all levels. This gives the Receptive the ability to be integrated through its openness. The Creative is closed only because nothing exists beyond it as a stage of development, while the Receptive is open only in relationship to the Creative. So, we can see by the example of the Creative and the Receptive that there is a time to be open and a time to be closed. Opening and closing is the foundation basis of the whole I Ching. The closed door is not stagnated, it is closed to concentrate itself within. The open door is not taken advantage of, for it has direction and is only opened through the guidance of the Creative. Even more simply put, the Creative uses the Receptive when it wants to be open and the Receptive uses the Creative when it wants to be closed.

THE CREATIVE

The Power

LET'S BEGIN NOW with the Power relationship of the Creative. The Creative holds the power of the creation of the beginning, and with this power gives any beginning, with which it is associated, a connection with Everything. This connection with Everything through the Creative is Nature. The Creative gives the form of materialization to ideas and brings them down into physical reality. A basic symbol of the Creative is the Sorcerer or Sage that integrates the relationship of causes and affects and has power over them rather than being ruled by their influence. The Sorcerer has the ability to see directly into the inner depths the meaning that Everything has in a situation or event.

The Image

The Movement of Everything is Full of Power.

Thus the Sorcerer is Strong and Untiring.

The key to the image of the Creative hexagram is consistency, the transformation of obstacles into tools of strength. Thus, there is concentration in fields of activity, and we have an influence that is undaunted.

The Lines

Nine at the beginning means: (1)

The Snake Travels Underground.

The snake is symbolic of the Kundalini that is the feminine energy form. The Snake travels underground so that its movements are unrecognized. It is not swayed by a need of acknowledgement. Its force remains hidden to the outer world. In this the Snake perfects its timing, and surfaces when it is ready.

Nine in the second place means:

The Snake Surfaces

And the Wise See the Snake.

This means the Snake is on the surface but still has not made its move. The Sorcerer makes an appearance in a chosen field of activity. Society has not yet focused its attention on the Sorcerer, yet the wise see what is happening and recognize the holder of power. A strong influence is established connecting the wise ones to the Sorcerer. Therefore, the first recognition happens and the wise are rewarded.

Nine in the third place means:

There is Great Activity

The Snake Sleeps Little.

Many start to see the Snake. They start to come from all over. There is much to be done to create a strong foundation. The foundation blocks out chaos. The Snake creates its guardians and everyone of the wise has a space.

Nine in the fourth place means:

The Snake Uses the Rainbow Bridge.

This means the Snake can appear at the end of the Rainbow or meet people at the beginning. At the beginning, the Snake moves among the people. At the end, the Snake says, “Find me if you can.”

A note from the editor:

The expected next paragraph:

Nine in the fifth place means:

is missing in the original manuscript, and it is not known to me whether this happened deliberately or by accident. In case it was unintentional, I suggest the following possibility:

Nine in the fifth place means:

The Snake has Shed its Skin

And Reveals the Other Side of the Rainbow

This means, for those who See, the Sorcerer’s Path is now wide open – and setting out starts from within.

Continuing with the original:

Nine at the top means:

The Vagina is Ready for the Snake.

This means that with all the power the Sorcerer has acquired, the Sorcerer does not seek to change the world, for there is a harmony with Nature and Everything is perfect.

So the Snake joins the vagina and is at home on Earth. The Creative joins the Receptive. The vagina is the snake hole. It opens the ability to move beyond form through form. The thought of the Sorcerer is thought of the Snake, which lives in the vagina.

THE RECEPTIVE

The Power

The Vessel Knows Its Purpose

The Golden Mermaid Looks Upon the Land

Thus She Waits for the Sorcerer

Being Ready, There is No Looking Back.

THE VESSEL is the body which awaits the transformation. The Golden Mermaid looks upon the land, which will be her new world. This is the key to receptivity, for there is an openness beyond all belief. Thus, The Mermaid, like the tree, gives to all directions but can only be moved by the Sorcerer.

Her inner and outer beauty create a magnetism that attracts to her the fulfillment of all her needs, except the need to look back, which does not affect her, because she is always experiencing more. The wise know that the Receptive is always more receptive in holding the space of receptivity. Just as the Creative is always more creative in holding the space of creativity. With a strong magnetic field, there is no seeking by the one who is being sought, for their ever-changing ability to be always more.

The Image

The Mermaid is Flexible

Being Receptive to the Snake

The Snake Bites Its Own Tail.

The Mermaid in trusting the Sorcerer gives in her tension and is extended within her own space. The...
