He is working extensively in the area of microwave/biological delignification, enzyme-mediated hydrolysis, and development of consolidated/integrated biorefineries. He has contributed significantly to the area of lignocellulosic biomass based biorefineries that is evident from his highly cited publication in peer-reviewed journals. He has contributed to several international patents. He is working as editor and reviewer to numerous high impact journals.
