Louis M. Weiss, M.D., M.P.H. is an attending physician atthe Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York, and atthe Bronx Municipal Hospital, where he also serves as a consultingphysician in parasitology and tropical medicine. Dr. Weiss is apeer reviewer for numerous journals including the AmericanJournal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, ParasitologyResearch, and Clinical Infectious Disease. The author ofover 200 peer-reviewed articles, Dr. Weiss has contributed chaptersand monographs to dozens of books in the field, andis a co-editorof five previous books on parasitology and infectious disease.
James J. Becnel, Ph.D, is Lead Scientist and ResearchEntomologist with the USDA-ARS in Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Becnelserves on the editorial boards for Journal of InvertebratePathology and Journal of Eukaryotic Microbiology, andhas published dozens of peer-reviewed papers on parasitology andentomology related topics.
