Yue Zhao, PhD, is Professor of Chemistry at the University ofSherbrooke. With more than 100 publications to his credit, Dr.Zhao's research interests center on the design, synthesis, andapplications of new polymer and liquid-crystalline materials. Hehas worked on specific applications of light-responsive materials,self-assembled materials, and nanostructured materials for liquidcrystal displays, controlled drug delivery, and tunable opticaldevices.
Tomiki Ikeda, PhD, is Professor of Polymer Chemistry at theTokyo Institute of Technology. Professor Ikeda is a leadingauthority in light-responsive materials and liquid-crystallinematerials. Professor Ikeda's research interests focus onphotomobile polymer materials, photodeformable smart materialsbased on azobenzene liquid-crystalline elastomers, andelectroluminescent liquid-crystalline materials. He has more than400 publications to his credit.
