Fiorello LaGuardia is known best as the tempestuous mayor of New York City in the days when Franklin Delano Roosevelt sat in the White House. Howard Zinn (1922–2010) was a historian, playwright, and social activist. He taught at Spelman College and Boston University. His many books include A People's History of the United States and a memoir, You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train: A Personal History of Our Times.
