Lily Alexander is currently an Assistant Professor at Hofstra University and Adjunct Associate Professor at New York University. She has published articles in Cinema Journal, Cinema Art, and other journals, as well as in such book collections as Re-Entering the Sign, Comparative Literature Now. She was twice nominated for the Teaching Excellence Award by the students, and is a recipient of such awards and honors as The Killam Memorial Scholarship, The Golda Meir International Fellowship, and The World International Fellowship. She is currently working on two book manuscripts - the proposed Storytelling on Screen: Traditions in Narrative and the Age of Visual Culture, and The Antihero's Journey: The Cultural Topography of Unlimited Power in Literature and Film.
