God is Jesus, Mohammad, or Buddha for most people on Earth. Each religion has rules that we must follow or there are consequences like eternal damnation. Man's rules are not necessarily God's rules. God's rules are within you and are simple, clear, clean and pure. Is God the same as Jesus, Mohammad or Buddha? Is there only one religion for me to get to heaven? What is the purpose of my life? Why are some people rich and other people poor? How do I get more joy in my life? Can I watch over my children after I die?

Chapter 1 Ultimate God
Rules and beliefs govern pretty much every aspect of our lives. Our mothers, fathers, friends, significant people and society dictates what is acceptable and not. Religion teaches us about Jesus, Mohammad, Buddha, or hundreds of others who have the way and often the only way to the afterlife, and eternal salvation. We are willing to accept all the stories associated with that religion, often times with a necessity to believe exactly what is written or spoken no matter how strange the story may seem. As children we are taught that this is the way it is. If you don’t believe you are often destined to damnation or will not be blessed with the great reward of the current life or the afterlife. It is time to re-write the rules. There is only one God. God is everything and is part of you, all that surrounds you, and the universe. God is multidimensional, not just three dimensions. God is like a giant invisible force relating all aspects of the universe together. We are all tied together. The blood of the universe really is love. You are never separated from God, and the universe no matter how you feel. You are part of your parents no matter if you like to acknowledge it or not… you have their genes…likewise you are part of God whether you acknowledge it or even believe it. You are tied to the Earth, to the people in your lives, those that have gone before you, and you will be tied to those that come after you. God is all of us but there is also an aspect of God that is such pure love that it is hard for us to relate to. Truly is absolute love. You have different aspects of yourself. Sometimes you show compassion to one in need, but you might not show that compassion 100% all of the time. There are certain aspects of us we don’t always show…just sometimes …and to some people. You are still the same individual. There are just a lot of different aspects of you. There are different aspects of God as well. Some of those aspects of God are hard for us to relate to. Those of us who are parents often say they finally know what love is when they think about the love they have for their children. They will even lay down their own life for their children. Those that have not experienced love of a child have trouble relating to those emotions. If you have ever been “in love” you know the joy of that feeling. If you have not had that experience it is hard to relate that feeling and you might even question if that emotion exists. If you have had a peak moment when in nature where you feel very close to God, you can relate to that feeling of peace, joy and love. If you have never experienced a peak moment in nature you may not be able to relate to that feeling. Likewise there are aspects of God that are difficult for us to perceive or relate to. God is at the highest state of love. So high of a state, it is hard for humans to sometimes feel or relate to it. God’s universe is not limited by the three dimensional universe we perceive to be our world. The three dimensions we perceive to be reality is a merely a construct where we are to learn. If you lived in a universe of two dimensions, you would only perceive length and width but no height. The concept of height would be meaningless. In God’s universe there is no limitation of three dimensions. So much of what we think is three dimensional based…length, width and height of this or that object. Even if we cannot totally understand it, there are more aspects of God’s universe than the dimensions we are aware of. While on Earth we need to respect the three dimensions, what is solid, liquid, what is safe and what is not. Believing we can cross a freeway at rush hour and those objects called cars are not real can get you in a lot of trouble. When day dreaming, dreaming, praying or meditating to God, we can ignore these constraints and structures and soar, fly, or just think in different ways. We have viewed life in very limited terms. A breathing person is living and a rock is dead. Our definition of life is changing as we are discovering ‘life’ in the most inhospitable places. In God’s universe there is an abundance of life everywhere. Life includes even the soil and rocks. They all have energy and all have a role in God’s universe. We are not alone in the universe, even when we define “living” in a very limited way. God’s universe is far more than what we perceive in three dimensions. God is not limited by what we perceive to be reality. Getting Back to Basics Many do feel comfort in their religion. Back to basics for them is relying on what seems right and true about their religion. They know their religion is the foundation of their life. If your religion leads you to God, that is wonderful. For many there is something lacking, or something more needed. We are all hard wired to be part of God. The truth of God is within us. It is the way we are built. Most of us see God through the perspective of our religion. God’s rules and the ways of God may not be the ways of our religion and beliefs. Religion is a filter of viewing God. God did not create religion. Religion was created, at least in part, to help us understand God. During some time in our life we want to get back to basics. What are the important things? This is especially true when something tragic happens. This can be the loss of a job, loss of a loved one, a disease, not having love in your life, and so many other reasons. We turn to our religion often for answers. Could it be that we are allowing our religion to define God‘s ways instead of God defining his/her own ways? Because we don’t always feel or hear the answers we might reject God. We might reject the religion we expect to give us comfort and peace. People who have a disease often pray that their disease goes away and they are healed. Sometimes a healing happens and sometimes not. How can God be so powerful and loving and not heal me? Does God not love me? Am I of no value? When we are not healed we often feel that our faith was not strong enough and question why God did not heal us. Because you were not healed it does not mean you did something wrong or did not have enough faith. It is easy to feel you did not have enough faith when you hear and see testimonials of healings. Does our expectation come from God’s healing power or from man trying to prove how powerful God is? Healings do happen, but the stories from various religions seem to set us up for disappointment. Everyone is going to die. If the extremely faithful are always going to be healed, then we should see at least some people living forever. It just does not happen. A limited life span on Earth is part of God’s plan. Really getting back to basics is having a personal relationship with God and discovering the truth within you. You have to eat…you cannot deny it. You have the ability to understand God and fulfill the purpose you have on Earth. The man created rules and rituals are not automatically God’s way or God’s perspective. Taking off the filter of how we view God through religion and seeking God’s truth within yourself, might serve you better in your spiritual path. God hard wired you with God’s truth, whether you realize, or even want it. Have you ever been thinking about drinking a cola drink and you are served some other soda instead? You sometimes actually believe you are drinking that cola drink but in reality you are drinking another flavor. Our expectations often dictate what our beliefs are. It is time to allow ourselves to view the simple truths of God. This is getting back to basics. The role of Buddha, Mohammad and Jesus You have a role in this universe. Likewise people we perceive to have enlightenment have had a special role in their lives. Mohammad, Jesus and others have at least as part of their role to teach us. We have had a tradition of praying to these people because we feel they are one with God. They were and are human but are not God. They just have a very special role in their life’s purpose and we are to honor and thank them. You have, as well, a special purpose. You, as well, have the ability to connect to God. We are all going to die in the traditional sense. We all have some fear or uncertainty of the unknown and death can be a big unknown. In part religion was created to answer questions about your existence, limit your fear, and give you answers about what happens to you when and after you die. Good stories can convince people of the validity of a belief and control people. The great Holy Books are filled with accounts that may not seem logical but they are believed. The stories are to convince you of that point of view. People for generations have given money, land, possessions, and numerous other things to fulfill the mandates their religion required. Are the religious stories true? Many of the accounts we believe to be truth were written after the enlightened person died, by people that wanted to prove a point or control others. In Christianity, the Catholic Church well after the death of Jesus decided which versions of the Jesus’ life they wish people to view as truth. Keep in mind none of the books were written at the time of Jesus living. In some ways the Catholic Church created Jesus. They did, for example, want him being raised from the dead, and they did want to have women to have a less important role than men. They excluded the more spiritual and mystical aspects of Jesus in favor or very well crafted Jesus, reflecting a great deal in the predictions of the Old Testament, and a lot of Jewish tradition. As time has gone on, the beautiful artwork,...
