Reservoir Characterization of Tight Gas Sandstones: Exploration and Development is essential reading for those working in oil and gas exploration (both in industry and academia) as it contains chapters that help them further understand all aspects of tight gas reservoirs. In this book, experts in industry and academia update readers on new methods of tight gas reservoir modeling and evaluation. As there are very limited published books in the field of tight sandstones, this book will benefit readers by making them familiar with state-of-art methods of tight gas sandstones characterization and evaluation.

Kadkhodaie, Rahim
Rahim Kadkhodaie is an assistant professor of Sedimentology and Sedimentary Petrology at the Earth Sciences Department, University of Tabriz, Iran. He received his PhD degree (2011-15) from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. For the last 12 years, he has been working as a researcher at the Petroleum Geology Department of the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (Tehran). His research has mainly focused on the fusion of geological, sedimentological, petrophysical, and seismic data into reservoir static models. Rahim has recently focused on reservoir characterization of unconventional reservoirs, specially tight gas sandstones. To date, Rahim has published more than 30 papers in international journals and conferences.

Kadkhodaie, Ali
Ali Kadkhodaie is an Associate Professor of Petroleum Geology at the Earth Sciences Department, University of Tabriz. He received his Ph.D. degree (2005-2009) from the University of Tehran. From 2015 to 2017 Ali joined the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Curtin University of Australia as a Research Associate. His research has mainly focused on the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in the fusion of reservoir rock properties and seismic reservoir characterization. To date, Ali has published more than 100 scientific papers in international journals. He has supervised more than 200 masters and Ph.D. students in the upstream sector of the petroleum industry. He now serves as the Associate Editor of Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering.
