Deeds, Jim
Jim Deeds is a poet and author, and works in Pastoral Ministry in the Diocese of Down and Connor. He has co-authored the award-winning Finding God in the Mess series with Brendan McManus SJ, published by Messenger Publications.

McManus SJ, Brendan
Brendan McManus SJ is a Spiritual Director and retreat giver in Manresa Spirituality Centre, Dublin. He previously held the same role in the Belfast Ignatian Centre. He has published several books with Messenger Publications, including Contemplating the Camino, Channelling the Inner Fire, Brothers in Arms, The Way to Manresa, Living the Camino Back Home(with Katherine O'Flynn FCJ) and, with Jim Deeds, Discover God Daily, and the trilogy, Finding God in the Mess, Deeper into the Mess and Emerging from the Mess.

Jim Deeds works in Pastoral Ministry in the Diocese of Down and Connor as well as being a poet and author. He draws much of his inspiration from walking the streets and hills around Belfast and it was on these walks with Fr Brendan McManus SJ that the idea for the book was born. Brendan McManus SJ comes from Lisnaskea and worked as a farmer and in IT before joining the Jesuits. He currently works as a Spiritual Director and retreat giver in Belfast.
