This volume has been developed from the time when Third World Foundation and the Malaysian Institute of Strategic and International Studies convened in Kuala Lumpur a meeting of 100 scholars and statesmen from 23 countries of the South in May 1986, called 'South-South II: Charting the Way Forward', and actions by the Steering Group since.
