Leonardo Israel Farfan Cabrera is an Assistant Professor at Tecnologico de Monterrey. He earned bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in mechanical engineering at Instituto Politecnico Nacional (IPN) in Mexico City. He has been a visiting researcher-professor at the Technical University of Munich, the University of Sheffield, Texas A&M University, and Universidad Nacional del Sur and a Fulbright postdoc at Southwest Research Institute. He has authored or co-authored more than 80 research articles and holds 2 patents. His research is primarily related to electric vehicle tribology, tribotesting, and bio/nanolubricants.

Peter Lee earned a PhD at the University of Leeds, where he became a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow. He established the Tribology Research and Evaluations Group at Southwest Research Institute, a world-leading tribology lab at the forefront of electrification of tribology rigs for the EV fluids industry, working directly with equipment manufacturers. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of IMechE, and a Fellow and Executive Director of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE), as well as being instrumental in establishing the STLE EV conference.

Ali Erdemir is a University Distinguished Professor and the Halliburton Chair in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. In recognition of his research accomplishments, he has received numerous awards and honors. He has authored or co-authored more than 300 research articles and holds 37 U.S. patents. His current research focuses on the development of new materials, coatings, and lubricants for a broad range of cross-cutting industrial applications, including electric vehicles.
