Florian Heine ist Fotograf, Kunsthistoriker, Autor und Herausgeber. Als Autor hat er mehrere Bücher über Kunst und Fotografie geschrieben. Für die TV-Reihe „Das erste Mal – Wie Neues in die Kunst kam“, die auf einem seiner Bücher basiert, war er für das Drehbuch verantwortlich und stand als Kunstexperte vor der Kamera. Als Fotograf arbeitet er in den Bereichen Kunst, Werbung und Industrie. Für Prestel hat er Bücher für Kinder und Erwachsene geschrieben, unter anderem „13 große Erfindungen der Kunst“ und „Meilensteine – Wie große Ideen die Fotografie veränderten“.
