She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunication from the University of Florida, a Juris Doctor degree from the Florida State University College of Law, and a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies (M.L.I.S.) degree from the Florida State University.

Kris Helge is the Scholarly Communications Librarian at the University of North Texas. He earned a J.D from the South Texas College of Law, a M.S. in Library Science from the University of North Texas, a B.A. from Baylor University, and is a Ph.D. student studying Information Science at the University of North Texas.
