Kakabaveh, Amineh
Amineh Kakabaveh is a Swedish politician of Iranian-Kurdish descent. She has been a member of the Parliament of Sweden since 2008.

Before fleeing to Sweden via Turkey, she joined the Peshmerga fighters at the age of 13. A. Kakabaveh has a master's degree in social work from Stockholm University and worked as a social worker. Inspired by the French movement "Ni Putes Ni Soumises" (Neither Whores nor Doormats), Kakabaveh founded this feminist and anti-racist organization "Varken hora eller kuvad" in Sweden in 2005. Her political issues are honor crimes, women's rights and secularism. The contentious politician resigned from the Left Party and holds the title of "Swedish Woman of the Year," awarded by Fokus magazine.
