This book is the final outcome of the project entitled State Grants and Loans as a Means to Increase Outgoing Mobility, or in short, STiME, which was conducted by the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) in collaboration with the Deutsches Studentenwerk between October 2012 and December 2013. The project and the printing of the present book have been supported by the European Commission, under the ERASMUS action of the Lifelong Learning Programme. The choice of the project acronym was not random – meant to be read as it’S TIME. It was foreseen to suggest that it was indeed high time to look deeper into state support schemes as a means to increase
European student mobility.
