The multi-dimensional elements of good water governance successfully support change processes on the level of water governance. In case of the Republic of Turkey, these elements come up against the effects of the on-going EU accession process in Turkey?s water governance and are affected by them. On the basis of the state of Turkey?s water resources, their sustainability and recent institutional changes in Turkey?s water governance, it is analyzed if and how the EU accession process is a driver for good water governance in Turkey.
