The textile industry is a resource-intensive global business that produces significant amounts of garments and textiles annually, but also generates substantial waste, raising environmental and social concerns. In response to growing recognition of these issues, various stakeholders are calling for sustainable practices, circular economy strategies, regulatory interventions and consumer education campaigns to minimise waste and promote recycling. Textile Waste Management: Strategies for Sustainability delves into these challenges, providing insights, analysis and practical solutions for managing textile waste in a sustainable and responsible manner. It aims to contribute to a more sustainable future by addressing the complexities of textile waste management and advocating for successful strategies to reduce environmental impact and promote circularity.
