Since there have been humans on this earth, large parts of humanity have been convinced that communication between this world and the afterlife is possible and that one can receive advice and even material help from deceased ancestors or higher spirits from the other world. Among the European cultural peoples, the knowledge of these things largely fell into oblivion. It was only the emerging modern spiritualism, as a practical exercise of connection to the beyond, that showed interested and curious people that one can receive not only good advice from another realm of existence but also comprehensive descriptions of the living conditions there.
In this book, only reports that were received during personal connections to the afterlife are included. They show that many deceased have not reached a 'paradise' at all, but need help from both the afterlife and this world. This results in a pastoral care for the deceased that can also be provided by us humans on this Earth. However, since one can also come into contact with very malevolent entities in this regard, a strong warning must be issued against careless handling of spiritualistic practices.
