During the 1920s and 1930s, The New York Public Library and the Library of Congress of the USA acquired for their collections at least 10 books and paphlets written by the subject of this analysis, 'Abdalrauf' Abdurahimoghli Fitrat (1886-1938) and published between 1923 and 1927, inclusively. Togehter with other materials from Central Asia, they are included in the online catalogue of The New York Public Library.
The paper retraces the life and career of 'Abdalrauf Fitrat, one of the major figures in Central Asian and especially Bukharan history and literature of the early 20th century, and it gives a list of his published and unpublished writings: political pamphlets and literary as well as scholarly texts. This bibliography enlarges previous lists of Fitrat's works (none of them available in English), and it probably lists most of his works (191 entries in alphabetical order by title). "To summarize: the chronology of stages in 'Abdrauf Fitrat's major nonconformity reach from the beginning to end of his professional career."
