Maggie Charles is tutor in English for Academic Studies at Oxford University Language Centre. Her research interests lie in the analysis of academic discourse and the use of corpora in EAP pedagogy. Her publications include Academic Writing: At the Interface of Corpus and Discourse (Continuum).

Diane Pecorari is Professor of English linguistics at Linnaeus University. Her research investigates source use and intertextuality in academic writing, and English-medium instruction. Her previous books include Teaching to avoid plagiarism: How to promote good source use (McGraw-Hill).
