Murali Mohan Cheepu is currently a Research Manager at STARWELDS Inc. Busan, Republic of Korea. He has several years of industry experience, most notably at JSW Steel Ltd. India as a Junior Manager and at STARWELDS Inc. as a Research Manager specializing in the development of wire arc additive manufacturing processes for large-scale components, welding process design, automation, digitalization and artificial intelligence. He received his Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering at Kyungsung University in 2019. His master’s degree in Welding Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli. As well, he has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University, India. He also carried out his Post-Doctoral research at Pukyong National University, Korea in 2019. Murali has extensive research experience in additive manufacturing, welding and joining technologies, development of welding filler materials, mechanical behavior materials, and machine learning and AI of the WAAM process. He has published numerous papers in scientific and conference proceedings, edited books, and patents, and continues to serve as the editorial board member of several journals. In addition, he received the "Best Researcher Award” from the Korean Welding and Joining Society in 2020, and the "Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award” from SME in 2023. Murali is an IEEE senior member and member of KWJS, HKSME, AWS, KSME, IIW, and SME.

K. Sivaprasad is presently working as Professor in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, India. He had more than 15 years of experience in teaching and research. Before joining at NIT, he completed his M.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, Chennai, India. He has guided more than 12 PhD scholars, among them 4 are on additive manufacturing. Presently 3 more students are working with him on additive manufacturing. He developed a course on additive manufacturing at NIT Trichy. He bagged many sponsored research projects from various funding agencies such as from MoE, DST, DRDO, NRB, ISRO, TATA Steel, etc. Under the project SPARC sponsored by Ministry of Education, India, he collaborated with countries like Norway and Estonia. He also conducted national level courses like GIAN on additive manufacturing. He has more than 100 international refereed journal publications. He the first recipient of Sir Dorabji Tata – T R Anantharaman Faculty Fellowship for the year 2013-14. He received many best paper awards in international conferences. He edited many special issues in SCIE journals one recent one on additive manufacturing in the Transaction of the Indian Institute of Metals, Springer and two more special issues in Metals (MDPI journal) are in progress. He is the life member in IIM, IWS, MRSI, ISTE, HKSME, PMAI, etc. He conducted 3 conferences and a recent one on additive manufacturing held in 2022.
