Dr. P. A. Rajiwade is currently working as an assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He graduated in Aeronautical Engineering in the year 2010 and took a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in turbomachines in the year 2013 in India. He pursued a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India, in 2020. He has more than 5 years of teaching and research experience in defense technology and also has published more than 15 research articles in national and international peer-reviewed conferences/journals/book chapters. His area of interest includes computational aerodynamics, subsonic/supersonic jet flow, aerospace propulsion, heat transfer in turbomachines, passive cooling flow analysis, computational fluid flow and heat transfer, and similar topics in the field of thermal and fluid engineering research.

Dr. Nitin P. Gulhane is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department and Professor in Charge of Training and Placement and Associate Dean at VJTI, Mumbai, India. He has also served as Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department and Head of the Mathematics Department at VJTI. He is a visiting professor at TU Delft (Netherlands), Cracow University of Technology (Poland), Tor Vergata University (Rome, Italy), and TUHH (Germany). Dr. Gulhane graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1992 and earned his master’s degree in Thermal Engineering in 1998 from the Government College of Engineering. He obtained his PhD from the Aerospace Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in 2010, where he received the Best PhD Thesis Award, along with the Excellence in Research Award from the MHRD, Government of India. With over 32 years of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Gulhane has authored more than 200 publications in international journals, conferences, and book chapters. He was honored as Best Teacher in 2018 by the Maharashtra Teachers’ Association. He has played a key role in organizing 50+ national and international conferences, faculty development programs, and workshops in mechanical engineering.He is a reviewer for over 10 reputed technical journals and an active member of several professional bodies in India and abroad. He is also extensively involved in 45+ industrial consultancy and 14+ research projects for both private and government organizations. Under his supervision, 11 research scholars have successfully completed their doctoral degrees, and over 66 students have completed postgraduate dissertations. Currently, 5 research scholars are pursuing research in thermal and fluid engineering under his guidance. His research interests include thermal management in microfluidics, MEMS design and heat transfer modelling, design optimization in renewable energy devices, and CFD in aerothermodynamics
